PokerTime is a fairly large online poker room that offers a great selection of tournaments and some great free software that analyses your game as you play. There are usually lots of players online so you should never be stuck for a game no matter which type you prefer. We do think the loyalty reward scheme could do with improving as it isn't quite as profitable as some others we have seen.
The PokerTime client is a nice piece of software, even though it is only available for Windows. The graphics are sharp, animation smooth and it's very easy to find your way around. As well as the basic client PokerTime also offer an extra download called PokerLab. This is an application which watches how you are playing and records statistics as you go. You can then log in online and see a report of how you have been doing and what you might want to do to improve your game. Quite a few other poker rooms offer some level of statistics on your game, but this surpasses most.
When you sign up to PokerTime you may feel slightly suspicious that they offer your first $10 for free. However, there really are no strings attached and you can bet to your hearts content with it. It's also possible to get another $40 if you follow the instructions carefully. This is over and above the usual deposit bonus that most poker rooms offer. Another aspect that makes PokerTime one of the more generous poker rooms we have looked at is the number of freeroll tournaments on offer to all levels of player. Checking the tournament schedule shows that there are lots going on every day and some pretty high guaranteed prizes for many of them.
Although it does seem PokerTime is pretty generous in terms of its bonuses and tournaments the same can't really be said for its loyalty reward scheme. The main rewards for going up through the levels seem to be invites to online webinars based around your PokerLab stats. While this is an interesting reward for a while we think that most players would prefer to get cold hard cash instead!
PokerTime isn't a bad online poker room, but once you have used up the initial bonuses there doesn't seem to be much incentive for continuing to play there. However, if you are interested in improving your game the MyPokerLab webinars may just swing the deal. Either way we recommend checking out our top ten list of the best online poker rooms we have found before jumping into anything.
